Why we started

“The tools available for industrial data infrastructure were either too expensive, too complex to integrate, or designed for IT environments that do not understand the operational constraints of factory floors and field sites.”

Proxus connects industrial assets at the edge, contextualises operational data through a Unified Namespace approach, retains live and historical data, and delivers it to dashboards, workflows, enterprise integrations and AI consumers. Connectivity is one part of that lifecycle, not the whole product.

The platform is led by Volkan Alkılıç, who has spent over twenty years in industrial software engineering, architecting data pipelines and IIoT solutions for manufacturing sites. The team works out of NKÜ Teknopark in Çorlu, Tekirdağ, a hub for industrial and software R&D in north-western Türkiye.

What we believe

Four positions the product is built on.

  • Operational data belongs to the operator

    A platform that only works through a vendor cloud makes a policy decision on your behalf. Proxus runs where you decide it runs, including fully air-gapped.

  • Context is the product

    Moving bytes off a PLC is the easy part. The value is in what the value means (units, asset and quality) and in keeping that meaning identical across sites.

  • A number you cannot explain is not data

    If nobody can say where a figure came from and what happened to it on the way, it will not survive its first disagreement in a meeting.

  • Brownfield is the normal case

    Most plants run equipment from many vendors, of many ages, that cannot be replaced for a data project. That is the environment we design for.
