Proxus 2.0.0 Proxus 2.0: the largest release in Proxus history Release notes

Pricing

Two numbers set your price.

You pay for every connected gateway and the data rate it is licensed for. Tags, devices, users, dashboards and API calls are never counted: collect everything, and grow without a new licence conversation.

The only two things counted

  1. Connected gateways Every connected gateway counts: one per line, area or site, as many as the plant needs.
  2. Data rate per gateway Standard, Performance or High Capacity, in data points per second, licensed per gateway and not pooled.

Never counted

  • Unlimited tags
  • Unlimited connected devices
  • Unlimited users and dashboards
  • Unlimited API and MQTT calls
  • Unlimited C# edge scripting
  • All 66 protocol drivers
  • All 18 destination systems
  • Historical retention

Counting tags turns a data platform into a budgeting exercise: teams leave signals uncollected to stay inside a licence. Add a machine, a hundred tags or ten users and the price stays the same.

Packages

Recommended annual prices.

Per year, in US dollars, before tax. Every package includes the full platform and Standard capacity. Figures are licensed limits, not benchmark claims.

Starter

Pilot or small production site

$5,500 / year. One gateway, 500 dp/s sustained and 1,500 dp/s burst. Capacity is fixed: a second gateway means another Starter or a move to Core.

Capacity tiers

Grow by gateway, or by data rate.

Add a gateway at the plan’s tier price, or move every gateway up a tier when lines get denser and polling faster. One tier applies to every gateway in the plan.

Tier Sustained / gateway Burst / gateway Extra gateway / year
Standard Normal production telemetry and steady plant rollouts. Included in Core, Scale and Network. 2,000 dp/s 6,000 dp/s $5,800
Performance Denser lines, faster polling and larger connected areas. 5,000 dp/s 15,000 dp/s $8,000
High Capacity High-frequency data, large sites and aggressive burst windows. 12,000 dp/s 36,000 dp/s $12,500

Estimate your plan

Which tier and package fit?

Enter how many gateways you need and how much the busiest one reads. One tier applies to every gateway in the plan, so the busiest gateway sets it. The rate is an upper bound: it assumes every tag produces a value on every read.

How it is calculated

Data points per second (dp/s) per gateway = tags ÷ read interval in seconds. The rate is compared with each tier’s sustained limit; the package is the lowest list price for that many gateways.

One per line, area or site.

Result

1,000 tags ÷ 1 s = 1,000 dp/s per gateway

Why

  • The busiest gateway runs at 50% of the Standard limit: 2,000 dp/s sustained, with bursts up to 6,000 dp/s for short spikes.
  • Core is the lowest list price for 3 gateways at Standard capacity, which every package includes.
  • On top of the package: 2 gateways at $5,800 a year each.
  • Throughput is not pooled across gateways: each one is licensed for its own rate.

Regional pricing

Published prices. Local terms.

The prices on this page are our recommended end-customer prices, so you can plan a budget before the first call. The quote you receive is what applies.

Through a partner

In several regions Proxus is sold and supported by authorised partners and distributors. They quote in local currency, invoice locally and may bundle implementation and support.

What can change

Country and local taxes, currency, support model, deployment scope, payment terms and contract length. Prices exclude tax and implementation services.

Trust and compliance

Certified, and documented for vendor review.

Questions

Before you talk to sales.

What does dp/s mean?
Data points per second: the number of individual tag value updates a gateway is licensed to process every second. It is the sustained limit of the capacity tier, not a benchmark result. Each gateway has its own rate; throughput is not pooled across gateways.
What does burst mean?
The short-spike allowance above the sustained rate, for reconnects, buffered sends and temporary surges. Burst is three times sustained.
What happens if a gateway runs above its capacity?
The hub shows each gateway’s capacity health and warns as the rate approaches the licensed limit. Short spikes are absorbed by the burst allowance. If the overload continues until burst is used up, data points above the licensed rate are not delivered and not buffered until the rate comes back down. The fix is to move up a capacity tier or add a gateway.
How do extra gateways work?
Add gateways without changing package. Every connected gateway counts. Each added gateway is priced by the plan’s capacity tier and licensed for that tier’s rate; throughput is not pooled across gateways. Starter is the exception: it has fixed capacity and takes no extra gateways.
Standard, Performance or High Capacity: how do we choose?
Standard fits normal production telemetry and is included in Core, Scale and Network. Performance fits denser lines and faster polling. High Capacity fits high-frequency data, large sites and aggressive burst windows. One tier applies to every gateway in the plan; packages on a higher tier are quoted.
Is there a way to start small?
Starter is a single gateway with fixed capacity (500 dp/s sustained) at $5,500 per year, enough for a pilot or a small site. Moving to Core later keeps everything you have built.
What happens when the licence expires?
The licence carries an expiry date, checked on the hub against a signature, so the check needs no internet connection. After it expires, sign-in opens the licence activation window and users cannot work until a renewed key is activated. Your data and configuration stay on your own servers.
Are implementation and training included?
No. The prices cover the licence. Implementation and training depend on scope and are quoted separately, by us or by the partner in your region.

Next step

Get a quote shaped around your sites.
